Causative Agents:
Porcine parvo virus. It belongs to the Family Parvoviridae, subfamily Parvovirinae and Genus Parvovirus.

Parvovirus is endemic in most of the world.
The clinical signs observed are abortion storms, diarrhoea and “vesicle-like” skin lesions.
Diagnostic Considerations
Serum from infected animals, mummified foetuses and foetal remains are required for laboratory examination.
The tests used for laboratory diagnosis of this virus are enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), Immunofluorescence and polymerase chain reaction (PCR).
Management and Treatment
There is no treatment for this disease.
Other approaches to reduce spread include vaccination of pigs with modified live virus vaccines.
